Just when I decided not to be a fanatical feminist

Remember my story about the friend that opened the door for me?  As I wrote in a post some few weeks ago, I thought about it and decided that actually it was ok, that really allowing a man (or anyone really) to open the door for me was not a sign that I am not longer a feminist.
Well it turns out that he had heard what I had said about feminism and the opening of doors, taken note of it, and decided not to open doors for me, if I found it offensive!
What!?  A man who actually listened to what I had to say about feminism and changed his actions accordingly?!
Before anyone says anything, yes I know there are many men out there that do listen to what women say and adjust their behaviour accordingly.  But to be honest, outside of left politics I haven't actually come across a man who wouldn't have thought my comments about door opening was really all that relevant and somewhat ridiculous.
So I am feeling somewhat confused about this one!
Not that I am upset that my new friend acted according to what I had expressed, that's great!
Just, well, I had come down on the side of deciding that I wasn't that sort of feminist anymore and now here was a person who would be willing to adjust his behaviour according to someone else's views and here was I, inadvertently, expressing views I no longer held!
So...
What is the point of this post, well I don't really know to be honest, I guess there probably isn't one, just stream of consciousness really.

And just to finish off this random post, here is a picture of my dog, isn't he a cutie?!
